When we went downstairs i put her slippers on,she wanted it off. I put her on the floor but she would not budge or even move an inch. She was afraid not of the slippers but of falling. Getting use to wearing something on your feet takes time. I had to let her hold on to my finger so she would feel secure and walk with her slippers on. I couldn't resist snapping pictures so that means letting go of her while doing it. She cried so much and was so upset with me for letting her go,but that got her walking by herself. Soon after she realized that she could walk in it and she wouldn't slip or fall.
The first few steps are always the hard part but after getting over that hurdle she was walking around the house and loving it.The important thing is, it kept her little footsies toasty warm!
may i suggest you let her wear skid-proof socks instead. these are socks with rubber prints at the sole to prevent slips and slides.

Those slippers are cute, but they can be slippery too!
oh...so cute even when she cries... when my daughter was just starting to walk, she'd toss her baby shoes too so i bought her skid-proof socks. worked magic on her!

I agree with the other moms. My baby girl also used skid-proof socks before. It makes walking easier for the baby coz they can still feel the floor they walk on. :)

My dd hates shoes and slippers in the house too! Actually, I just posted about her new slippers too. LOL If you're worried about sliding and falling, I have just thought of getting some puffy paint and running some lines of it on the bottoms. It should stay on for a while and help with traction. I'll be doing it too. Love the pics! She's so sweet.
