BREAKING DAWN

Last Thursday I finally went to see the newest installment of the twilight saga. My gal pal Krista went with me. It was my first girls night out, lol. I was so excited to finally go out and see the movie. I had heard raves from people who had seen it already. Before going to the movies we went on a little detour. Actually Krista had to stop at Fashion Bug to get her outfit for her work Christmas party. We were almost late going to the movies. The good thing about going to the movies on a weekday is that its slow. It was almost deserted that I was afraid they were closed. We got in before the actual movie started. Missing some of the previews of upcoming shows was no biggie.

The movie was good but I thought they dragged some of the scenes to long. My favorite part was of course the honeymoon. It was funny and romantic at the same time. There were scenes in the movie that was different from the book. All in all it was great, I loved it. I cannot wait for the the last installment which i heard will be this coming summer. To those who haven't seen the movie yet, go see it.

THE RITE TO BE SCARED

A couple of days ago my husband and I decided to indulge in our favorite pastime together, watching a movie after the kids are all tucked in bed. Since we have been married we have only been to the movies once. I prefer watching movies at home or the computer. Its our alone time together. We usually watch action/adventure, comedy/romance and of course the horror movies. I get so scared so easily but I still love to watch horror movies as long as my husband is with me. He laughs when I pick a scary movies and teases me if I will be watching the whole movie or half of it with my hands over my eyes. When I get scared I cover my eye with one hand and the other will be holding his. As soon as a scary part comes on I would cover my eyes and tell him to let me know as soon as its over, lol.. He cracks up every time I scream when something just happens on screen without any warning.

The movie we watched that night was The Rite, with Sir Anthony Hopkins. It was about exorcism and a true story to boot. I have always been fascinated and intrigued about religious horror movies. I still remember the Exorcist and until now think that its one of the greatest horror movie classic of all time. Anthony Hopkins is such a versatile actor who can pull you into the web of the story with the way he commands attention on screen. It was a good movie and I only screamed once, lol. Ralph got startled when I screamed coz I was holding his hands when something was happening on screen, lol... I love movie night with my husband, its our own time to ourselves.

TAKEN

I just finished watching Taken last night. I watched it on FILMHILL via mega video but it got stopped since you have to wait for how many minutes or so to continue watching it. I had to finish it so i stayed up until past 1 a.m. The movie is about a former spy whose daughter was kidnapped and sold into the slavery trade. Its about the love of a father for his child and the means he would take to rescue her. Story line is great and action was just wickedly brilliant. It was believable not like other action movies that has so many stunts that looks fake and not real. The calmness of "Liam Neeson" and the sound of his voice just made the movie perfect for me. This has instantly become one of my most favorite movie. Why? I see my husband in him. Ralph and Kayla, he has found long and hard to get her and we finally got her. I know in my heart that if anything happens to our girls/kids he will move heaven and earth to find them just like in the movies. You should watch it, great great great! If I had to rate it, it would be 10/10.

FAMILY NIGHT MOVIE

Spending time with the family is one of the most important priorities in our life. It matters not the quantity but the quality of time you spent with your family, specially your children. As Ralph is constantly working making ends meet we still manage to make time for the kids. One of the many fun things we do is watch a movie together as a whole family. Kayla and Ralph makes the popcorn while i take care of the drinks. We all a settle down on the couch and watch not just any movie but a family movie that both us and the kids would also enjoy watching. There is one movie that i have heard so much about the All Roads Lead Home The Movie. Ralph and I make it a point to watch movies that have messages and explain it to our growing girl Kayla so she can learn valuable lessons like in the movie. And this movie will be perfect for our family movie night. Like the movie we like to instill values in our home specially in our girls and this movie is just perfect for us to watch. And who knows this might become one of our favorite movies to watch as a family.
