TARGET MONDAYS

What a great Monday! My new friend Allison and I went to Target to score some great deals. Of course since I don't drive and she doesn't have a care my hubby played chauffeur for us, dropping and picking us up at the mall. It was the husbands day to babysit while the wives go on a bargain hunt, lol.

We first went to Target to check out what things we could get. While there we checked out the baby aisle for my friends 6 month old baby. We ooohed and ahhhed over the cute outfits. And of course talked about anything and everything from feeding, potty training, being pregnant, maternity dresses, breastfeeding to parenting. After Target we hit up the food court where my husband and Kaitlyn met with us for lunch. It wouldn't be a mall day without visiting some of the other stores like Victoria Secret and Forever XXl. We didn't purchase anything, just ended up looking. Our main goal was one thing Target. We went back in with a vengeance. We both went home with a few bags of great finds. Mine was under $12 which was great since we had a $20 deal limit. She went over since she had to purchase diapers for her baby. But, all in all we did great!!!

BAGHEERA AND KEEPER

Finally after some time I bought a new bag and wallet to replace my much bigger bag. The other bag I carried around before was 2 times bigger than this one. Things got lost in my other bag and MIL and hubby complains that its much too heavy, lol. Well its true, It was to heavy and bulky for me to be lugging around on a day to day basis. I got the bag and wallet the other day at Walmart. Yes I am a Walmart shopper, I love shopping there specially with the prizes they offer. The bag is only $16 and the wallet $7. I can't afford to buy a bag that is over $25, I just can't see myself right now buying something expensive when a cheaper one will do. Let me rephrase that, I can afford to buy a bag over $25 but I wont, not now. I'm not saying I will never buy a bag over $25 but its unlikely that I won't. See? I'm contradicting myself, whatever! All I'm saying is I would rather have that extra money in my wallet than having an expensive bag that I have nothing in my wallet. Hey, I have nothing against women who love and collect expensive bags. If you have the money and can afford, then by any means go ahead and please yourself. To each its own. So far I am happy with my purchase and If I could have gotten a cheaper bag I'd return this in a heartbeat. But this one kinda grew on me, I think I'll keep her for a long time, if she holds up to all my junk. And I shall name her Bagheera, like the panther character in jungle book. And the wallet shall be named Keeper.

Note:
If your curious to keep checking on days to follow what is inside my bag.

BE SUMMER SMART

"This post was sponsored by Kmart. All the opinions are mine."
This years summer has been fun, and filled with lots of sun and swimming. It helps to stay cool under the blazing heat of the sun by the pool. The kids get water logged but they don't mind one bit as long as they could swim at there hearts content. Just yesterday Kayla started getting in the pool without her life vest on. She has been swimming, jumping and showing us her tricks. Of course the little does not want to be outdone. She follows her sisters every move and will try and try until she gets it. What my husband and I love about summer is that we get to spend a lot of time with our kids and just do stuff as a whole family. Both my husband and I are home buddies and we like staying at the house in our backyard be it swimming, playing with the kids or just a simple barbecue. And with those activities it calls for a place for us to settle down for the day and just watch lightning bugs on our deck. This years summer we have been having our share of thunderstorms. One storm even broke the glass table in our deck. We had no table whatsoever and it didn't help that we had broken glasses all over. We searched for another patio table for our deck but they were all expensive. We ended up buying our new patio table at Kmart. And speaking of Kmart did you know that they are having another of their famous Kmart Bluelight specials. Where you get 70% off on there patio furniture and saved us a lot of money. They also have great choices of men basketball athletic shorts and for women that love jewelry, another 10% off is slashed from diamonds that is already 70% off! FLYING THE COOP

"This post was sponsored by Sears. All the opinions are mine."

Wouldn't you know it? In a few more weeks school is going to start again and that means back to our old routine of sleeping early and waking up early as well. We are going to have to make the kids fit back into the routine of things. They have to, I am the captain of our ship and I want a man a tight ship. Its going to be pretty interesting this year since Kayla will actually be on the first grade! It still amazes me how time flies, it felt like it was just yesterday that she was just starting Pre K and now she is a first grader.

For my SIL its going to be bittersweet for her. Her oldest son is about to leave the nest and fly off to college. I know she must be feeling sad and happy at the same time. I hope that Steven has everything he needs to be CampusReady for college. Its not an easy feat to just up and fly the coop to start a new life in college. Knowing my SIL Teresa she probably has everything planned out for her son if not, then Sears is there to the rescue. With Sears Campus Ready you get help picking everything from financial planning tips, apparel must haves, and most of all shopping checklist. Its simply exhilarating how sears have found a way to make college life to an easy transition. My SIL is in Mexico at the moment enjoying her vacation but it help so know that she can always check out
CampusReady on Facebook and see for herself.

3 HOURS OF SHOPPING OR WINDOW SHOPPING?

I went to the Christiana Mall for the first time ever. I didn't get to go yesterdays black Friday since i had family visiting and we got so tired and full from eating. They left late yesterday and i miss them already. Kaitlyn has been a little under the weather lately and yesterday she had a slight fever which we blame on maybe her teeth coming out. This morning she still had a slight fever so she didn't come with me since MIL volunteered to watch her. They dropped me off at the mall shortly before 12 noon. MIL told me to take my time and just look around and make sure i buy something for myself. I had hubby's card but i didn't go ballistic and just buy anything i want. After 3 hrs. I finally called MIL and i heard the baby crying in the background and so cranky, i told her to pick me up at the same place they dropped me off. When i go in the car MIL was a little bit peeved why i only bought 3 items,hehehe.. She wanted me to buy stuff for myself and not worry about the cost for once. I told her i didn't want to spend to much and go overboard but i did buy a dress for me, shoes for Kayla and jumper snowsuit for Kaitlyn. I felt guilty though coz Kaitlyn was running a high fever when we got home. Her fever spiked up to 102.6 her face was so flushed and her eyes watery. Thank God she is doing much better now, ill have to keep a close eye on her tonight and keep checking her temperature.
