SCHOOL READY

With everyone gearing up for school its safe to say that you can find amazing deals on laptops,desktop computers, school supplies and of course back to school clothes. We are still on the lucky end that we won't need a new laptop since our oldest is only in the third grade. However, I have been looking into buying a new laptop or netbook for my sister in the Philippines. They have a desktop computer and a very old laptop but my mom is currently travelling from two different cities to take care of her mother. She needs something to use so we can keep in touch. Hopefully I can save enough to get them a new laptop. As for other school supplies we can forgo it this year. I found a whole bunch of pencils, erasers, marker, notebook, and crayons to last us about 5 years. If my husband buys another pack of pencil, I am going to stab him with it, lol. But seriously I don't think we need to buy any school supplies for Kayla this year. As for back to school clothes, that is another story.

PROTECTED

Being a stay at home mom and earn online is a blessing. I thank the day that my friend encouraged me to join blogging. It wasn't as hard and difficult as I thought it was specially when you have friends who are willing to help you along the way. I have read a lot of interesting articles written by people from all over the world. Gave me the chance to get a glimpse of how they are living and coping with day to day activities. Made lots of new friends all over. One of the downside to blogging is when you get directed to sites that are malicious with spyware and malware programs and viruses that wreak havoc on my computer. It seemed like every year we were buying a new computer due to viruses infecting the hard drive. I didn't know then that something like PC Tools could help with what I was having trouble with. We just got a new touch smart computer and I will be damned first before I let any virus get into our system. We have anti-virus installed but I would rather look into more options to see a better way of protecting our new computer. I am keeping a close watch on our new computer and if I notice that our anti-virus is not working up to par I will not hesitate to get help and download any antivirus software on PC Tools.

NO CRASH AND BURN

Our computer has reached past its one year marker, lol.. I hope I din't jinx it by celebrating early. For the past 2 years we have been struck my the dilemma of having to replace our computer every year due unforeseen circumstances ( computer virus ). If within 3 months our computer doesn't choke and die on us, we will still be needing a new lcd monitor as the one we have is kinda old. If we can afford it I'd like to get one that has a bigger screen with a built in speaker. Something like the new lcd monitor that my MIL got about 6-8 months ago.Cross my fingers that our computer won't crash on us, if it does let it happen after tax return, lol.

STILL HERE

My laptop is about a few weeks short of its 2nd birthday. Ralph bought for me last December of 2008 as a Christmas gift. He knew how much I wanted a laptop of my own since I was constantly updating my blogs and taking to my family online. I didn't expect it, he just all of a sudden asked me while at my BIL's house what color I liked. I was ecstatic of course, I didn't think I was going to get one. It did help me a lot when it came to my online source of income. Some of the mom bloggers I have meet online have really taken me under their wings and taught me the ropes. I have come across mom that have certified hosting team like the pci compliance hosting. I don't claim to know a lot about computer and how the world wide web works but I know enough. One of these days I am going to find me a "dummies guide to the web". I have not been as active as I was before, things has just been hectic for a bit and you could say I got burned out. But not to worry, I am still alive and kicking.

MR. LAPPY

Do you know the good thing about having a laptop is that you can stay online surfing the net or just checking your e-mail anywhere around the house? Laptops nowadays are no longer considered a want but a need, most specially to students that do a lot of research and term papers. My laptop was a gift from hubby last 2008. It's only been lately that I have been using my laptop on a daily basis for the purpose of watching the newest show I am crazy about. With my frequent use I have been noticing that my computer has been running slow of late. I worry if its a virus or if I have used up almost all of the laptop memory. I really hope its not a virus coz if it is I can't afford to have this fixed. Having someone look at your computer or laptop is downright expensive that sometimes it comes to a point its better to buy a new one instead having your old one fix. If that happens I have my eye set on getting those handy Ipad. I really shouldn't get it or even ask my hubby to buy it for me as a gift coz I am not techno savvy and I really have no use for it. I will just have to make sure that my anti-virus is working hard and is keeping those darn viruses at bay.

TOOLS, GADGETS AND GALORE

Nowadays everything is easier, faster, efficient and convenient. I have asked myself so many times why Americans have so many gadgets for almost everything. Housewives have so many tools and gadgets to help with cleaning. Since most Americans don't have maids or cleaning crew to clean, we do it ourselves. Inventions and gadgets make things easier and faster. It also applies to technology and the WEB. There are programs and software to help with business, schools, household,church, offices and many more. It even amazes me how people can do their own taxes in there own homes with just a simple software program. Business is easier to manage with software like project management software it helps small business owners and major companies run smoothly. I should have really studied more about computers and the Internet since there is such a big field to knowledge that is available out there waiting to be searched. I may not be a computer geek but I sure so admire them...

MY RED DELL

My red Dell Laptop Computer, now i can get online if someone else is using the desktop computer. I take precious care of Ralph's gift to me that i don't use it all the time, lol. Ralph keeps asking why i don't use my laptop and i would usually reply " i love my laptop that's why I'm not using it, if i didn't love it, i would be using it all the time". He gets confuse and doesn't understand why i don't use it. The other reason is we have wireless router and every time i use the laptop our Internet connection gets out of whack. We keep getting disconnected from the Internet and its such a pain. The only time i use it is when both Ralph and I are upstairs in bed, him watching television and me doing my post. I cant use it all the time since I'm always with the baby and she wants to use it as well. But i love it,lol.. Thank you daddy!!!

I HAVE RETURNED

I'm finally back!!!!!! Whew, what a week it has been. We got the pc up and running the other day. Thought it was all fine until the next day when i woke up. When i sat down to check on stuff i found some very interesting site that had been downloaded on my pc and desktop, A PORN SITE!. Now i know i didn't install it and nor has my husband been using the computer except to try and fix it. I almost tore my hair out again from frustration. I stood up and just watched television until my husband woke up and told him about what happened. We had to redo the restore all over again. Hopefully this will stay up and running until we can afford to get a new pc. Until now we dont exactly know what caused our computer to crash. Even though we ended up loosing all our girls pictures at least i got most of them saved on a cd and all his important files saved in this thumb driver thingy,lol.. Im happy to be back and i have risen from the ashes!
