Wii GAMES PLAYED

Two more added to our small collection of Wii Games. If I am not mistaken we got our Wii game console almost 2 years ago. We love it and the kids love it. It keeps them occupied specially in the cold winter months. By far Mario Kart is the most popular game in our household. Its even the favorite of my 3 year old daughter. Yes, she can play the Mario Kart and she knows how to play it to. So a couple of weeks ago Ralph and I went to Game Stop to see what games they have. My heart was set on getting either the Donkey Kong Country Returns or the Super Mario Galaxy 2. Ralph wanted to get the Super Mario All Star Sports I think but the attendant said the review wasn't to impressive. He asked the age of our kids and suggested Kirby's Epic Yarn and Donkey Kong Country Returns. He has played both games and the reviews are quite promising. We took his advice and got both games. Wii games are expensive, new game release are $49 a pop! It has been a while since we got the kids a new game and they deserved it. I love playing the Wii and my favorite game was Super Mario Galaxy, too bad Kaitlyn broke it and now it won't play anymore. Will be saving up to buy the new Super Mario Galaxy 2. The kids and I have played with the games and we love it! Kaitlyn loves Kirby and plays with her big sister. Kayla loves the Dongkey Kong better. When both kids can't pass a certain level they come to me for help. They both think I am so good at playing the game so I better step up to the plate, lol. MEET MR. AND MRS.

One of the many picture of my little girls opening their presents on Christmas morning. Kaitlyn had already opened one gift when she woke up. We had to leave a few minutes after Kaitlyn opened one gift to pick her big sister in Baltimore. She was so excited that we were finally picking up Kayla, she missed her terribly this past days that she was at her moms. We got home before two in the afternoon. As soon as we got in the girls headed for the tree clamouring to open the gifts. They had so much fun ripping the wrapping paper off. We got both girls a Mr. and Mrs. Potato head in honor of toy story 3. The toy comes with so many accessories, it will be a pain in the neck to keep it together but it is worth it. Kayla's big big gift was the DSi XL and as soon as she opened it she was in DS land. Kaitlyn on the other hand got busy playing with the Mrs. Potato head. Thank you to my husband for all of the toys the kids got and also for my gifts. This was indeed a good Christmas.

PRESENTS AND WRAPPING

Finished with your Holiday shopping? Some have already been done shopping and wrapping presents already and some who have yet to buy it. Ralph and I are already finished buying the kids presents. It was fun and confusing shopping for them. So many toys to choose from. We didn't get the kids as much toys like we did last year. We got Kayla got her DSi XL that came with a Mario game with it. We got Kaitlyn the School is Cool computer game, by fisher price. Its something that she can really do and it will help her with her alphabets, letters, colors and shaped. We also got her a few dolls that shed real tears and we got Kayla more games for her DS and the Wii. This year I got my husband a massage pad that you can put on the bed. When he comes home from work he gets so tired and so wound up that he needs a good massage. I am still battling with myself if I should return it and get the more expensive one. MIL said I should just wait until he tries it and if he doesn't like it we can always return it. As for MIL, we got her a new printer. If money wasn't so tight we would have gotten her an e-book reader. Maybe we will get that for her on her 69th birthday. Now that we are done with the shopping, I am not looking forward to the wrapping.

NO CLEAN UP

Thanksgiving is around the corner and we have yet to buy all the stuff we need. I am quite happy this year with the thought about not having to clean up after. This year Thanksgiving will be at my BIL house. I am also looking forward to going on my 2nd year of black Friday sale. What I'm looking out for this years black Friday sale is a Kitchen Aid. It is expensive and I hate to ask my husband for one but I think I have been a good wife and mom this year and I deserve it, lol. When I do go on this black Friday sale, my eyes will also be in the look out for kids toys for my little girls. Ralph will be getting his holiday check anytime this month and we need to go shop for Christmas presents as soon as possible. It will also help us avoid last minute shopping. LUCKY KIDS

On my recent vacation, I realized how lucky and fortunate my kids are compared to most kids in the place where I grew up. My kids have almost everything, their daddy makes sure that he gives them toys and stuff they can enjoy and play with. Take for example the newest swing set we just bought for the girls this Summer. Most kids back home have never seen a swing set let alone play in one. Most of those kids are happy just to play with sticks, twigs, tires, cans and other stuff most American kids take for granted. I try to make my kids understand that what they have is from their father's hard work. Kaitlyn for the most part didn't demand for any toys when we get the chance to visit malls or department stores. Her eyes did grow big when we passed by the aisle of battery powered ride on toys. She remembered her Barbie Jeep back home. That reminds me, we should actually look into Peg perego as specialize in battery power operated ride on toys. Kayla has gotten to big for her Barbie Jeep and as a rule Kaitlyn gets her jeep. Ralph is thinking about getting a ride on toy that looks like an ATV,I however don't think that is a good idea. We still have to discuss what kind to get Kayla, it has to be something that she can grow into and is durable for at least 2 kids on it. Maybe next year's tax money we will get Kayla her new ride on wheels.
