NO DROPPING TODAY

I wont be doing my daily rounds and drops today. We got home from New Jersey a couple of hours ago and something happened when we got home. It involves Kaitlyn but she is fine so far. I am just taking this few minutes to let my droppers know that I wont be returning their drops today. I have to watch Kaitlyn while she sleeps and observe her breathing. I will write a post about what happened tomorrow. But she is fine and sleeping now.

CHIC GEEKS

Growing up I have never had trouble or a problem with my eyesight. I have 20/20 vision on both eyes and I'm very very thankful for that. My sister however has a little problem with her eyesight and has to wear corrective glasses. At least her eyesight is not as bed as my husband. Ralph's eyes are so bad that he cant really see anything without his glasses. Just a couple of months ago he was having headache due to his glasses, it has a scratch right in the middle of his line of vision. He didn't really want to get new ones since he just got those glasses less than 6 months ago. After days of suffering from headache I finally convinced him to get a new pair of glasses no matter what the cost. As It turned out he didn't have to pay for anything since his glasses were still covered by warranty. Just in case something happens with his glasses again I know where to get High-indexted Prescription Eyeglasses where he can get a decent pair of glasses. I was also thinking about getting eyeglasses for my mom and sister. My moms eyesight is going downhill due to age and I think getting her something from Discounted Reading Eyeglasses would be a thoughtful surprise gift. I will have to ask my sister to help me pick which pair would be perfect for her. I could even get my sister a pair of eyeglasses as well with all the varied selection or designs that GlassesShop.com has to offer. With different frames ranging from plastic, metal, wood like or more I'm pretty sure my sister will have fun browsing through all of them until she finds the perfect pair for her and our mom. With the affordability and styles to choose from I'm sure both my mom and sister will look like chic geeks. If you are looking for a new place to get your priscription eyeglasses or sunglasses check it out, it doesn't hurt to look.

MY HUSBAND, THE FATHER

Dad, Happy Fathers Day! You are at work but I want to let you know that we love you so much and we thank you for all the love, support, patience and understanding you have given to us. I did not grow up with a dad so I am so blessed to have found a man who loves his children more than life itself. I picked the graphic above since you are once special man. You are close to being the perfect dad that any kid would want. Why not perfect? Your flaws as a dad if there is any is what makes you special and unique. To my maternal grandfather, thank you so much lo for loving me and my sister and for being there for us when we needed you. To all my uncles thank you for the bottom of my heat. And to my step dad John, no words can express how thankful and happy I am to have met a man like you. Thank you for being a father, brother and friend to me and my sister.

THE SMALL POOL

Pictures of the girls taken last week. I decided to blow up the small pool for Kaitlyn since it was to cold for her and Kayla to go in the pool. We bought that pool last year before the big pool was put it. Kayla loves it even if its a little small for her and Kaitlyn enjoys it more since she can swim without the fear of her going under the water. The other girl in the picture is our neighbors daughter Tracy. She is so good with the girls and she watches over them and play with them, she is like a mother hen. Both the older girls love sliding on the little slide even if they are to big for it. I rather prefer the blow up pool than the big pool, this way Kaitlyn can enjoy swimming and playing in the pool without anyone holding onto her. Its a pain in the ass to put it away though but as long as my kids are happy I'll be glad to put it and blow it up over and over again.

GET RID OF THE SHEDDING AND SMELL, FIND THE SOLUTION

I recently posted about the Sam and her puppies. She is a pure breed Labrador Retriever and owned by my BIL. The day she was having the puppies we went over to my BIL house to welcome the newest addition to the family. Of course our oldest asked if she could have one and told her that daddy and I will have to discuss about it. Well, it is official we will not be getting a puppy anytime soon. Why? We already have two cats Oreo and Smokey and one dog Nickie. Smokey and Nickie are my MIL pets. The one thing I dislike about having pets is that they shed. We have a black area rug in our family room and when the dog comes out she shakes and the rug gets covered in hair. It drives me nuts specially since Kaitlyn loves laying down on the area rug and the dog hair makes it look so dirty, filthy and I hate the smell of dog hair. If only Nickie would not smell and shed she would be the perfect dog. There is a solution, Dinovite is the newest nutritional supplement product that is made solely of our cats and dogs.It helps fill in the nutritional gap left by giving them regular dog or cat foods. I just found out that if you give your pets the right nutritional supplements and foods the itching, scratching and smell will no longer be a problem. For more information check out the solutions center . If that is the case we may reconsider getting another puppy since Nickie is getting old and both our girls love dogs.

STAWBERRY ESCAPADE

Here is our strawberry picking escapade June 16,2009 at Walnut Farms in Maryland. It was a breezy and cloudy day to go strawberry picking. At least the sun wasn't beating down on us but It gave me the chills, so on went my sweater. The princess bruiser though had more fun trekking back and forth between me and her daddy. She trampled on a lot of strawberries but it was already getting rotten anyways. The strawberries were not that abundant and big since it is almost the end of the season. I wanted to go raspberry picking after but the owner said the raspberry were done picking for the day and the next picking would be on Thursday. At least I got to experience strawberry picking which was all I wanted. And by the way I want to thank my husband for taking us. Next year I will schedule an earlier trip to another strawberry farm and this time we will be complete as a family. I will make sure that we have big sister so we can all go together. For this coming Fall/Autumn, I was thinking of taking the kids to an apple orchard and maybe just maybe have a little picnic at the same time. Anyway, we still got quite a few strawberries and my oh my am I stuffed!!!

SHINE LIKE A STAR

We had such a rocking, dancing good time before we settled for the night. My youngest Kaitlyn loves music and she was just dancing and performing for us. We let her dance to her little feet and hearts content until she gets tuckered out! I miss my step daughter though, she would have been right beside her baby sister singing and dancing along. I would love to have one of my kids be on television or print. Both my kids love watching kids shows on television. Kayla once said she wants to see herself on television. I may just have the answer for her request since Raggs Rockin' Kids Search is open to kids between the ages of 3-7. They are looking for kids that have big personalities and someone who loves to share stories. That is just perfect since Kayla will turn 6 this August and I think she would do great since she loves to talk and tell stories about everything and anything. In today's society parents are somewhat wary about this kind of kids search. One thing I'm sure though is this search is legit and the people at Twitter Party made sure about that. They have posted on there site the rules and regulations and how you can enter a video of your child. And of course lets talk about the prizes up for grabs:

Raggs

  • GRAND PRIZE $100 gift card - 1
  • Raggs Rocks DVD Activity books - 10
  • Raggs Pastograps - 10
  • Plush toys - 5
  • Raggs back pack - 5
Isn't that sweet? If your child gets picked we not only get win those great prizes but they get to be on television as well and get seen by their family and friends. We better hurry though the contest has already started and will end on June 30. Let's go make that video and make our kids a star.

STRAWBERRY PICKING

Strawberry field here we come!!! Yup, weather permitting we will be off to go strawberry picking in Maryland. Its a good thing to since raspberry is also in season. I'm so excited since this is my first time to go strawberry picking. I just hope that princess bruiser will be on her best behavior tomorrow and will help me pick strawberries. I do hope i can take lots of pictures but Ralph doesn't really like taking pictures, I am usually the photographer. I am going to have my fill and I am bringing home a bunch!

LIFE IS PRICELESS

The joys of parenthood is full of limitless adventures, fun, patience, learning and an abundance of love. As a parent to a little girl I now understand the frustration and joy my mom went through with me and my sister. It is sad to know thought that my mother has not seen my daughter since she was born. My mom is not getting any younger and she now has a lot of health issues. I do get worried since most health issues are hereditary. I want to be there for my kids, see them go to school, get jobs and have a family. For me looking into C'elle is now or never. With the new age technology, it has afforded us women, mothers, sister or daughters the ability to get use from our menstrual cycle. What we deemed the monthly curse will be our salvation yet. When I got to read C'elle benefits It got me sold into really thinking about investing for my future and my kids. Nothing is constant in our world except change and with that I don't know what tomorrow has in store for me and my family. Investing on our health and our kids health is important that all of us should think about. If your thinking if our family can afford to invest in this very important health decision it is good to know more about the pricing and let us keep in mind though that our life is priceless.

PREGNANCY AND CLOTHES

One of the greatest joy in my life is my 20 month old daughter Kaitlyn. She was an unexpected, pleasant but very much wanted surprise. It was a total shock for me since I got pregnant right off the bat. Sure, the first trimester was a total nightmare with all the morning sickness, the car sickness, nausea and everything in between. Now, I long to feel that experience and miracle all over again. Pregnancy brings about a certain twinkle and glow in a woman. Sure it can be dampen when you suddenly ballooned into this woman that looked like someone who swallowed a watermelon. Pregnant women often forget that we can still look gorgeous and sexy. All it takes is the right outfit and accessories to bring out the woman that is us. For those having problems finding the right clothes that fit Elegant Elle is coming to your rescue and hopefully mine soon. Having a wide range of choices of maternity clothes from tops, bottoms, dresses, accessories and more. And to make this such a sweet deal they are having a sale of 50% off on all maternity clothes and also includes a 50% off on all Layette. Order that outfit that fits the new you and enjoy a flat fee shipping of $5 but hurry sale ends June 30,2009.

SAM AND HER BABY PUPPIES

June 6th, Saturday, I got a call from my BIL Angelo letting me know that Sam is having her puppies. She only had 4 when he called me and of course I was excited to see the new puppies. I hurriedly called Ralph and asked if it was alright with him if MIL, Kaitlyn, Kayla and I take a drive over to Angelo's to see the new puppies and stay overnight. Ralph said it was fine with him since he is working and won't be able to spend time with us anyway. So off I hurried like a bee, packing stuff here and there. As soon as we were ready we head on out. By the time we got there Sam already had 8 puppies. They are pure breed Labrador Retriever.
We oohhhed and ahhhhed over the new puppies and Sam was gracious enough to let us touch and hold her babies. Kayla asked if she could have a puppy and we all laughed, I just told her that daddy and I had to talk about it. If we were to get a dog I would pick the black one. When they transferred Sam to the basement she had her last puppy and that made a total of 9 puppies.
  • 4 black female
  • 1 black male
  • 3 tan/brown male
  • 1 tan/brown female

HOSTING FOR THE CREAM OF THE CROP

What a hectic week we just had. Saturday, we went down to my BIL to meet the new puppies and stayed overnight. Sunday, we got home and left again after a couple of hours rest to have fun at the St. Anthony's Festival in Wilmington. I barely had time to update my blog which I have been neglecting a little bit. I have been blogging about our life, marriage and of course my kids. This August will be my 1st year anniversary in the blogging world. I really didn't have such a hard time, not when I was surrounded by my friends who were willing to teach and help me. Needless to say, I eventually learned the ropes. For would be aspiring writers or blogger its important to find the right best blog hosting place for your blog. Its important to know what hosting can do for you and how it can improve your site or blog. And the only way to do that is by doing you research and some reading at webhostinggeeks where they do a full review of the best hosting in the web. As for advanced blogger and web developers they can check out some of the best vps hosting. What is VPS? It is short for Virtual Private Server, its a hosting place were users have root access that provides them control, flexibility and allows them to install any programs on their server. So if an advanced users get the best reviews on the net so you can be assured that you only pick the cream of the crop.

LEARNING TO FLY

Something weird happen to us after we had our Ice Cream run last Sunday. As we were walking up to our door we heard a loud thump. I turned around and asked Ralph what it was. He had a shock look on his face and said that a bird just hit the side door of our van. True to his word a bird was laying on the side of the van. It was just a baby bird learning to fly. The mama and daddy bird was circling above chirping and calling their baby. The poor bird probably hurt himself and could only fly a couple of feet at a time. We decided to leave the bird hoping it would eventually learn to fly off. After the kids were asleep Ralph checked the backyard just to make sure if the baby bird got to flying. He came back inside telling me that the bird is still out there. We decided to put him the bird cage we had in the basement and just keep him for the night in the bathroom so the cats won't get to him. Ralph got up early to hunt some worms in the backyard and fed it to the baby bird. When it was sunny and warm enough we let it out of the cage and just put him in the backyard. He must have learn to fly since we could not find him later that afternoon. I would like to think that his mom and dad found him and helped him fly back to their nest.

BLINK THOSE BAGS AND WRINKLES AWAY

Lets talk about vanity. Most women are vain about there looks and worry about every wrinkle, eye bags and many more on our faces. I never use to worry about how my skin looked since I was blessed not to have a lot of break outs and had no problems about dark circle under the eyes and eye bags. That however changed, when I got here in the US, I noticed that I have more wrinkles and bags under my eyes. Specially the past few days when my daughter got sick. You would think that I had a black eye from not sleeping and stressing out. To top it off, the wrinkles on the side of my eyes have started to look more pronounced. For crying out loud, I'm only 30 years old yet my skin looks way older. The thing is I just don't want to grab just any eye cream out in the market. I want the best eye cream that is out there. Its great that people like me can depend on a site where we can scroll through the best eye cream there is. With a site like that finding the right one that really works, that have been tested by real consumers is easy. If your looking for a beauty product that really works check out The Best Eye Cream Review.

THE RUSTIC CHANGE

Two years living in our house but we still yet to furnish our living room/ playroom. Our couch in the family room is a wreck thanks to my MIL cat who uses the side of the couch as a scratching post. The kids love the big couch though but I would love something a little more classic yet simple. When the kids are much older we will start thinking about getting the right furniture for our house. I would love to see what rustic furniture would look like in our house. Maybe even decorate the guest room with it. That would just be a good thought to hang on until we have the money to purchase something like those. If you guys are thinking of redecorating or furnishing your house try looking at the many selection of furniture from Scenic Furniture and be awed by the many choices you can pick from.

ICE CREAM RUN

Sunday on the way back from picking Kayla from her mommy's, daddy called me to say that he will be picking us up for an Ice Cream run. Of course having a sweet tooth I said yes. I hurriedly dressed the princess bruiser in a white shirt and pink shorts. It was a total mistake that I let her wear a white shirt knowing very well that she will be covered in ice cream. We just went to SCOOPS for our quick fix of ice cream. We were actually closer to Rita's but Ralph wanted to try this one out. He later said that Rita's was better.

hhhmmm..What should I get? so many choices so little time!
love at first bite
keep on licking and dripping
a big smile from big sister

OUR FUTURE VACATION PLANS

It's official folks, I will be the one to plan and decide the when, what and the where for a vacation. Last year hubby did all the planning and I was just along for the ride. This time he thinks I should plan it as he also trust my choices. Of course being parents our priority is always the kids, the fun, activities and the learning they can get out of a vacation. I am so looking forward to going to Kissimmee, Florida one of this days. We won't be doing long distance travel be it on a plane or car this year. But in 2-3 years time is when we plan to go to Florida. The youngest is only 19 months and I would like her to be a little bit older before we take a big vacation so she can understand and at least enjoy most of the experience. Since I hate the cold so much I am so tempted to take a vacation in the winter months. Kissimmee is known for its sun, attractions, theme parks and many more so it would not be a problem entertaining the kids. First, would be a wet splashing fun in a Water Park, second would be a hair seeking ride on the many Theme Parks, third any of the outdoor activities that can broaden my kids knowledge, and fourth would be a relaxing day at the spas for mom and possible a few rounds of golf for dad.

I just hope that Kissimmee will still be giving away free vacations like the ones they just had. Who ever won those 3 weekend getaways (3d/2n) for 2 ; and another 2 week-long vacations for 4 sure are lucky. The Drawings were held last 4/1/09, 5/1/09 and 6/1/09. Even though the contest is already over, that does not mean you can't get your vacation of a lifetime. For more info on how you can get an affordable yet fantastic vacation, click the links provided above and start planning.

PLAGIARISM A BIG NO NO!

I have never heard of this word before until I became a blogger. I came across this once but I really never read what the meaning was. It was when my sister Chay told me about what it means. So the next time I came across it I read the whole thing and I now understand what it is. I guess there are a lot of people in the blogging world that are plagiarist. I was shocked and dismayed when I found out about one particular person stealing content word for word. I use to admire the way she writes and put her thoughts to word but, not anymore. So to all my readers please let us help spread this around and let us be aware of plagiarist and stop them on their tracks. As the saying goes :
The only way for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing

Please copy from here and share:

What is Plagiarism?

According to the Dictionary, Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work.

To all Bloggers who exert effort to create noteworthy entries and who continue to maintain a Blog which is a reflection of who she / he is,” Good job! ”

To those who have the desire to Blog but are merely scraping contents from other people‘s materials,” Whether you are monetizing your site to help you with your basic needs or to satisfy some of your wants, do it the proper way. Stop making money out of someone else’s work. Otherwise, you are nothing but a common thief! ”

Thank you!
I'm passing this onto my sister chay, jijie, jenn, davida and to all my readers. Lets stop this from happening to us.

POST MEMORIAL DAY BBQ

Kaitlyn finally got over her fever on Friday morning. Still I was worried that I may come back again so I was thinking of not going with MIL to Angelo's Post Memorial Barbecue. Thank God her fever didn't come back and she was slowly getting back to her old rambunctious self. It was just family and we had so much fun. I didn't get in the pool though since it was windy and cold. Kaitlyn dipped her feet in with her cousin Lauren holding on to her. The second photo was of Kaitlyn trying to pull out Lauren's eyebrow ring piercing, lol. Even though Ralph was not able to come with us due to work we still had fun and the food was just superb!!

BRANSON HAS GOT IT ALL COVERED

It can't be stopped, Summer is just outside our doors. The weather has been very nice expect for a few rain showers here and there. Families are hustling and bustling around preparing for the much awaited Summer Vacation and Getaways. As for us we will be spending most of our summer in our backyard specially in the swimming pool. We do have plans to take the kids somewhere for a day or two of fun rides and activities. If only our youngest was a little bit older we would not think twice about checking out Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. It looked like such and inviting place for a family with kids to stay at. Located at the heart of the Entertainment and District, I would think that we would not have a big problem finding activities to do, be it for the kids or just for mom and dad. Days would be spent letting the kids enjoy the National Kid's Day Fest at Silver Dollar City while dad take on a few holes from a championship gold course a few distance from Branson. Since I know my family we would probably be spending a lot of our time beside the Hotel's pool and let our little tadpoles swim in the cool sparkling water. And for those who mix business and pleasure Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is the right place for a business conference, rest and recreation of your choice. Be it a Vacation for your Family or a Business Trip, The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel can provide and meet all of your expectations.

FIRST DIP IN THE POOL

This photo was taken a couple of days before the princess bruiser got sick. Our pool has been open now for more than a week. I however, did not go in the pool when I took this one since it was still way to cold for me. Ralph and the kids braved the cold water to cool off from the scorching heat of the sun. Kayla is in her life vest/ bathing suit since it allows her to swim around the pool without sinking. She is still learning to swim in the pool and it allows her to have freedom to swim which ever way she wants to go. As for the lil' bruiser, she does not like staying in her floater for very long. She prefers the comfort of somebody holding on to her. Thank God we have a pool or else we would have been driving back and forth to my BIL house every weekend.

SAVING WHILE ON FORMULA

For me nothing was more precious and memorable than the days, weeks and months that lead to the birth of my first born baby girl, my princess bruiser. From the moment I found out I was pregnant with her I knew right away I was going to breastfeed her by hook or by crook. My mother was not able to breastfeed me due to my allergies so at a very early age I was already on formula. It was not just any formula It had to be a certain formula that is exactly for my needs. I grew up on formula and not on my mother's milk. Breastfeeding was a conscious effort on my part. I knew the benefits it can give to my daughter and to me. My daughter can get the best nutrients and vitamins from my milk while I also get the chance to really bond with my daughter and share something really really special with her. Breastfeeding was not that hard on my part but unfortunately my milk dried up after 6 months. The only consolation I feel is that I still got to breastfeed her. From 6 months on she was already eating by then and also on the formula about 4 times a day. Mind you putting her on the formula was expensive but like Ralph would say It is an expense that he would not mind. Kaitlyn is been on Enfamil and she is striving. I always wonder though how much we could save if we put her on Parent's Choice Infant Formula. Now, I can find out for myself how much I could be saving If I had Kaitlyn on store brand formula rather than the name brand ones. One big can of formula is $25 a pop in our place and if we should transfer her to the store brand we could be saving over $300. That is a big savings right there. Want to know how much you could also be saving if you switch from your brand name formula to store brand formula? Easy, just check out Parent's Choice Saving Calculator and find out how much money you could be putting back in your pocket.

BIG THANK YOU MAY DROPPERS

It is once again time to give thanks for my faithful droppers for the month of May. This past week has been very stressful for me when my youngest daughter got sick. Its not easy when the child that is sick cant tell you what is wrong with them. I barely had sleep, was not able to do any household chores and not a lot of posts. There was even a day that I was not able to return any drops when we got stuck in the Emergency Room. A very big THANK YOU to all my top droppers and to just any one who drops and reads what I have to say.
