4 OUT OF 6

When we switched from Comcast to Verizon Fios we had to answer a few questions like what kind of package we wanted, the premium channels we prefer and how many TV's we have in the house. When the agent said that both Ralph and I just laughed and told him we have 6 television in the house. He said that one family had 12 working television in their house when he was doing his canvass. Out of 6 we only have a total of 4 HDTV, one in our room, MIL sitting area, kids room and the family room. Having a lot of television reduces the fight over cartoons to watch or movies,the bad side is electricity, lol. The next time we buy a television will either be to replace the one in the playroom or for the guest room upstairs.

ONLINE FUN

As a stay at home mom, I am the first one to admit that I do get bored. Who wouldn't get bored with just a child and pets for company and just the walls in the house. I can only take so much and I crave the freedom of going outside at times. While its still cold I do enjoy playing some great games online. I love playing Westward 1-4 but I was not able to play the 3rd installment since our old computer before didn't have the right video card for the game. But ever since we got the new computer I have not had any problems with playing online games. In fact the graphics of the games I play have gotten better. I guess our new computer has better graphics and the video card is bigger and more advanced. The downside to playing to much games online? Your house hold chores suffer and your house will end up looking like a mess.

CUT OFF

Just got off the phone, had to call my sister in Cebu to ask when they are gonna be getting the internet connection back. They finally reached the last straw and decided to leave Smart Bro and look for something better. The service that they have been getting was not bad but terrible. The have made several complaints about the signal and not being able to stay connected online. All the Smart technicians did was drive by looked at the antenna and that was it. No real action to the problem. Luckily I am no longer there if not I would have demanded that reimburse the monthly fee that they have been paying for a service not worth a dime.

My family will be using the prepaid plug in or something for the meantime until the DSL is available in their area. Hopefully when they do get the DSL they wont have the same problem with the signal and staying connected. If they keep having the same problem then its about high time I got them a new laptop. It's not a luxury but a necessity with me living in a different country and the internet being our main source of communication. I have really been looking at daily deal online to check out affordable laptops and gadgets as a gift from me to them. Hopefully I will have enough time to save up and buy one.

THE ONE

Last May our television finally made its last curtain and showed its last show. We could not believe it, we just had that television fixed not 8 months ago. In times like this Ralph would usually just when we took one step forward things happen that drags us two steps back. It useless to pay another $450 to have it fixed only to have it break down on us again less than a year later. Watching television is one of the few things both my husband and I enjoy together, it also helps educate and entertains our kids with songs, values and educational shows. When we finally got our new television and surround system we hit yet another bump. It was a mind boggling for Ralph when it was time to set it all up. Did you know that hooking up a new television and an entertainment center can be so difficult. We ended up paying a professional to set up the whole thing and it was money well spent. If we had not hired a professional we would have ended up with three remote controls. One for the television, the surround sound and the DVD. We finally ended up with just two remote, one for the television/cable and the other one for the entertainment center and the surround sound. Had we known that Yamaha neoHD had existed we would have saved all the hassle. To have just one remote to use on everything would be a blessing. Just one remote can really save us time, its hassle free and the convenience it affords. WONDER OF TECHNOLOGY

Isn't it amazing that we have so much technology at our hands? Like for example the Internet, it allows us to communicate to our loved ones and friends from all over the globe. I specially love the voice calls and the web cam, i get to see my family on a daily basis and get to talk to them without having to pay for any phone bill. Just this morning my grandfather arrived at my mom and i talked to him online. I knew my aunt missed my grandfather so much so i decided to call her on the land line and tried to put it on speaker to see if she and my grandfather can hear each other. And it worked, they talked for a long time. My grandfather on the Internet way back in the Philippines while my aunt is on the phone in Chicago. Isn't technology simply amazing?
