GRAB AWAY

This was Kaitlyn at around 9 months old. I should have known back then that when it comes to food I better not mess around, lol.. At age 3 she eats like an adult and tries about everything except veggies. She is not found of veggies at all, takes after me. Kaitlyn is developmentally advance on some areas but also late on other. She got her chompers late at around 14 months. However, she was walking by 10 months. At 3 months old she had her first taste of solid food which was pot roast, by 6 months she was eating solid food like rice and other stuff. I wonder how she did it when she didn't have any teeth,lol. Needless to say I guess she just gummed it and swallowed just like the cheerios on this video.. I miss her being this small...

Watch how she grabs the cheerios even before I placed it on her tray, as if she was starved and never given food,lol

GRUMPY AND CRANKY

After all the fun time in the snow both kids are a little bit under the weather. Kaitlyn has been having a fever on and off. She was already seen by her pedia, she is clear of ear infection. It could be that she is teething again. She has been so grumpy and cranky lately. Kaitlyn enjoy being out and about that every time she sees or notices someone going out she goes to the door and looks for her coat. She gets so upset that she cant go out and would throw a temper tantrum. I feel bad for her since she must have cabin fever and I know she isn't feeling to good. I'm keeping a close eye on her and hope that we get our happy Kaitlyn back.

WHAT DO YOU READ?

Do you have a habit of reading while doing your business in the toilet? Well guess who i found reading while in the bathroom, Kaitlyn. Her daddy put her on the potty seat and gave her a magazine. He was laughing so hard calling out to me to check out what the little one was doing. He just thought she would rip the magazines but she was actually trying to read it and was pointing out to the pictures. At least she did what she had to do while sitting there. Were not officially potty training her just yet, we will do that this summer. We just let her seat of the potty if she wants to and 10 out of 10 she will. As soon as i open the bathroom door she heads for her potty seat on the side of the sink, she would get the seat and put it on top of the toilet. I should take a video of that next time. She is really growing up and day by day she will need me less and less.

GUESS WHAT?!

This is Kaitlyn this morning on her potty. I thought we had a potty chair for her but we only got the potty seat. I took that up from the basement yesterday and i wanted to try if Kaitlyn would sit on the toilet and she did. She liked it a lot and would cry when it was time for her to get off. This morning while Kayla was brushing her teeth i decided to put her on the potty chair and see if she would go. I left her there for about 5 minutes but i was not far away i was just outside the door. When i finally went in to check on her she had already done her business and we were so happy. I didn't think she would do it, lol.. Big sister could not resist hugging and kissing Kaitlyn and of course wanted to have a picture taken with her even if Kaitlyn was still on the potty. My baby is growing up and its a bittersweet moment. I don't know if she is too young to be potty trained but I'm going to try. We will get her own potty so she can sit on it whenever she wants without help.

KAIT THE BLOGGER

Kaitlyn loves to imitate mama all the time. When I'm on the computer doing my blog and checking my e-mail she wants to sit on my lap and bang on the keyboard and play with the mouse. Of course i can do what i have to so i had to find another way. We had an old keyboard and an extra mouse in the basement and i took that and put those things on the table in the playroom. She likes to sit by herself and pretend to be me, and its so funny coz she tries to type and maneuver the mouse as well. She loves following her mama and maybe one day she will be a blogger like mama.

HER ANTICS

Kaitlyn turned 15 months yesterday and boy is she a handful. She gets into everything and its just drives me nuts. As she is growing she is becoming more adventurous, funny, temperamental and without fear. Yesterday Kayla was in the dinning room playing with her laptop while i was in the kitchen preparing dinner. Suddenly i hear Kayla saying that the baby is on the table, I just thought that she was under or by the table but when i got there she was on top of the table sitting facing her sister. I asked Kayla who put baby sister there and said nobody.I asked again who put baby sister on the chair so she could have climbed up the table and again Kayla replied nobody. Kaitlyn climbed on the chair and onto the table all by herself without any help. Now that her legs a bit longer she has been into climbing now and ill have to keep a close eye on her.

IN A BOX

This is Kaitlyn in a box. You may be wondering why she isnt wearing a shirt. Here is the story:

When daddy got home from walking her big sister to the bus stop he decided to finish sorting the stuff in the basement. We didnt get to finish it the last time since Kaitlyn was getting so cranky and would touch and put everything in her mouth in the basement. So this morning we tried again with her and she was very calm, happy and just content sitting in her walker with some plastic spoons as toys. After a while she did get bored and i took her out and let her walk around. She tripped, fell and got dirty with all the stuff that was down there and we finally came up she was filthy. Its warm inside so i just left her without a shirt on and let her walk around for a little bit before she goes down for her afternoon nap. Rest assured she will have a shirt on! I just couldnt resist taking a snap of her in the box, my little trouble maker makes us all laugh!

AS SHE TURNS A YEAR OLD

My first born is one year old and i feel like i have been cheated. Time has robbed me of my memories of her when she was just an infant. My brain has been foggy, it just cleared when Kaitlyn was 6 months old. Where did the time go?Did it just flew by me? Or i was to wrapped up with the thought of trying to be a good mother to both kids. All i know is that she is growing up very very fast

Kaitlyn was in her element yesterday and was having such a blast with her uncle Angelo. It didn't happen right away though, when they first arrived she was like an octopus. Arms and legs wrapped around my neck and my body so tight like she wanted to crawl inside of me and hide,lol. It took her about a good 2-30 minutes before she actually warmed up to her uncle Angelo. After that forget it she was all over him. Wasn't able to take a good picture of her with her birthday dress that we got at Walmart for $16 and the little patent black shoes for $9. She looked so cute and so girlie,lol. Here are just a few of the pictures taken yesterday.

We didn't get to take a picture of her blowing out her cake wearing her birthday dress, i changed her too early as i know she would want to eat a piece of her cake as soon as they were down blowing out the candles. Oh well! The important thing is she had fun and got what she wanted, a piece of cake!
