AFFAIR WITH AN ANGEL

A couple of months ago I went gaga over a certain cake. We were at my BIL's house in Bear for my Biometrics for the USCIS. I got hungry and raided their kitchen for something to eat. My eyes feel on a rectangular piece of container with a few slices of what appears to be cake. I asked if I could have a piece. As soon as that piece of cake hit my tongue I was in food heaven. I found out that day that my favorite cake is Angel Food Cake. I cannot get over how fluffy, sweet and soft it comes. Before we left I begged my MIL to take me to Walmart so I could get the cake. One thing about me is when I want something specially food, I got and get it. I will keep eating the same food until desire for the taste is quenched. I bought two round cakes and I finished the whole round one in a day. My husband knows about my love affair with food and he knows that I am currently hooked on Angel, sweet, light, fluffy and delicious.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

I just want to greet my MIL a very Happy Happy Birthday. She was indeed surprised when we called her out of her room after dinner. Even more so when I told her that I baked the cake and decorated it myself. She thought it was from the store, lol. I guess I'm getting better at it. I still need to find the perfect butter cream frosting and the perfect chocolate cake recipe. She made a wish and blew out her cake. Before I end this post I want to write a little something for her.

Mom,

I thank you everyday for being around for me and the kids. I thank you for opening your arms to be and welcoming me in your family. I thank you for loving my girls and for watching them when I ask you. You have taken care of me and treated me as your own. You are so loved and appreciated. I may not say it enough but we all love you and thankful for a mom and grandma like you. Good health and many more years is what we wish for you.. Happy happy birthday again mom,we love you..

A CUP OF CAKE

Cupcakes, were one of the many food i baked and ate. This particular batch of cupcakes was baked for Kayla's 4th birthday. I colored the frosting so Kayla had a different cupcake every time she would ask for one. Before i got married i just loathed cooking and would grumbled, whine and complain if i was told to cook. When i got married of course i had to impress my husband and show him that i can cook, i was just lazy back home since my sister is such a good cook. Also when i got pregnant i had this urge to bake all the time, it usually comes out great and yummy to. Oh i also made those cupcakes for Kayla to take to school to share with her friends when she was still in pre-kindergarten.
