WITH MY GIRLS

Here I am again with my two adorable princesses. We don't usually get a chance to have a picture with the three of us. Kayla is not really interested to be in the pictures. As you may have noticed I have a lot of picture with my youngest but not much with my oldest. She is getting older where she doesn't want to be bothered, lol. We just got out of the pool for a night swimmng, it was like getting into a warm bath. The water was literally like bath water. It was so warm and soothing to the body. When we got and drying on the deck, I got Kayla to sit on my lap. This was my chance to I immediately called the lil one over to take a a picture with the 3 of us. My kids are so beautiful, yes I can say that because I am their mom,lol.

BEACHY BUT NOT SO PEACHY

With the heat wave covering the country, you find most people near water or do water activities. Although there are still people who prefer to stay indoors to cool off. As for my us, my kids enjoy staying outdoors. That means playing in the backyard, on the swing set, sand box or swimming in our swimming pool. Most of the time the kids are just content swimming in our pool. When it gets to hot though, they will be the ones to actually ask me that they would rather stay inside.

Last Tuesday, we finally went to the beach. The last time we went to the beach was almost 4 years ago. I was actually 7 months pregnant with Kaitlyn and Kayla was 4. The kiddos were pretty excited, Kaitlyn was understandably more excited as this would be here first time to go to the beach. To make the story short, our beach outing was fun but Ralph and I are definitely not beach people. Since there are no cottages where you can put all your stuff and rest like in my country. You have to make do and put blankets and towels on the sand. And sand gets into everything and anything. As for the beach water, you can't let you if you have a younger child. It would knocked around by the wave and carried by the current. I was not used to it. Back home our waters are nothing like that. The kids can swim in the shallow end and not worry about getting knocked over by the strong wave. As soon as we packed up I blurted out " It's going to be Water Parks until they are older for the beach". Ralph agrees with me as he is also not a beach person. Hey, I am not saying I don't the beach period but I'm just not used to the beaches here in America.. If the wave and the current was not that strong I would have loved it. But when you have kids, you tend to gravitate to a place where you don't have to hold their hands in order for them to have a good time. To sum it all up it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The important thing is that we had our little family time of bonding..

COUSINS IN WATER

That is just one of the few underwater pictures we had of our vacation last July in the Philippines. I just got it developed today. With my short term memory I had forgotten that I had it and keep forgetting to have it develop. Finally today I remembered to take it with us to Happy Harry's. I miss my cousins and my sister back home.

L-R my cousin Margaret, my sister Mitzi, my cousin Brigitte, Regi and nephew Carl. This was taken at the 3 start resort in Ormoc City my mom's hometown. It is a rare occasion of us cousins to be together since most of us live in different country. We happen to coordinate our vacation so we could see each other. I miss them so much, looking at the fun pictures reminded me of the good times we shared even in a short time. They have not seen the photo as of yet as I haven't had time to post it online. I'm pretty sure they will laugh when they see all of the photos, lol.. I miss you guys

JUMP, SWIM, DIVE

Check out my baby girl!! She is only 2 1/2 years old, well almost 3 but look what she can do. She has been jumping in the pool like that since last year at 20 months old. I just put her in the life vest and that was it, no more holding her in the pool. It also helps that she has an older sister, she copies everything that her manang does. Lately, she has been trying to dive under the pool like her sister. She very much wants to touch the bottom of the pool but with the vest on she can't do that. Still, she loves to put her head in and look under water. I don't know how she does it but she never complains about getting water up her nose when she jumps in the pool. If she keeps this up by the time she is 5 she will probably be swimming on her own.

UNDERWATER MOMENTS

Watch out Michael Phelps you have competition swimming up your way. This is our princess bruiser not even two years old and here she is putting her head under water while swimming. And she does all this thing underwater and still look graceful and effortless. Our neighbor still can't believe that she is doing this and that she is a daredevil when it comes to swimming in our pool. Of course she is still in her life vest but she jumps and swims around without any fear. She even tries to use the goggles, snorkel and mask that we have so she can do whatever we do. I can't wait to see what she will be like next summer. Hopefully before she turns 3 we can teach her how to swim without the live vest. However I would still prefer that she has a life vest on her just in case, lol..

FIRST DIP IN THE POOL

This photo was taken a couple of days before the princess bruiser got sick. Our pool has been open now for more than a week. I however, did not go in the pool when I took this one since it was still way to cold for me. Ralph and the kids braved the cold water to cool off from the scorching heat of the sun. Kayla is in her life vest/ bathing suit since it allows her to swim around the pool without sinking. She is still learning to swim in the pool and it allows her to have freedom to swim which ever way she wants to go. As for the lil' bruiser, she does not like staying in her floater for very long. She prefers the comfort of somebody holding on to her. Thank God we have a pool or else we would have been driving back and forth to my BIL house every weekend.
