Summer, mall and jewelries

Is summer almost over? It feels like it has just begun. The first few days of summer was wet and days of scattered thunderstorms. I must say, I did enjoy that week where we had the heat advisory. Weather felt like back home in my hometown Cebu, Philipines. Going to the mall feels nice to see all the summer clothes out on display. Summer is the only time I can really enjoy wearing short sleeved shirts. My daughter loves going to the mall and seeing other ladies walking around. She likes to admire what they are wearing and the jewelries they use to accessorize. Acessorizing is the key to making a very simple garment stand out. It doesn't have to be real, expensive jewelry. When I was still single I used to help my mom make fashion accessories. It's ironic that I know how accessories are made but I only have a handful of them. What I would like thou is a new engagement ring. Probably a bigger one? Nah, just a matching engagement ring and wedding band that fits my finger. There are so many jewelry store to choose from, www.jewelryvortex.com is among one of the many stores. Hubby will have to surprise me one day. I'm not holding my breath, there are more important things we can focus on than jewelry. But, he knows I would love to receive jewelry. Maybe for our 10th anniversary?

ANOTHER WEDDING

This coming Saturday will be the wedding of Andrew and Wendy. The groom is my MIL's grandson. We will be heading out to New Jersey once again to witness the union of these two couple. Before the wedding I heard Wendy and my SIL talking about finding a Wedding Jewelry that is meaningful to both of them. In today's generation wedding jewelry is part of the ceremony already. Specially for middle eastern weddings, brides are adorned with different kinds of wedding jewelry. Either from the groom or from the brides family. I have seen proof of that from watching Platinum Wedding on television. But anyway, we hope that the weather will cooperate on Saturday. The wedding will be held outside the backyard of their house. I have already picked out outfits for the girls and myself, got the card and gift and of course I got to help MIL cook the food she volunteered to bring.

SILVER BAUBLES

I must admit that the first few days I was in Cebu I got surprised by how expensive commodities have become. The foods that I used to love eating that were cheap and affordable were no longer so. I often wonder how the poor get through the day feeding their family. There were still some things that were cheap. I was surprised by how cheap silver jewelries were. Not sterling silver but the 925 silver jewelry. Got me wondering in the process if wholesale diamonds were sold in the Philippines and would it be cheap. If that was the case I'm sure that women who loves diamonds would be in high heaven. They said diamonds were girls best friend, not for me. Food is my best friend and boy did I eat a lot of my best friend when I was on my vacation. And oh, I did get a few silver baubles for myself after my mom got me a silver necklace with a cross pendant and gave me her beautiful silver earring. I just had to buy a bracelet and a few silver rings to match my new earrings and necklace.

SPARKLE IT BIG

I guess almost every one has heard and seen how Taylor Swift was rudely interrupted by Kanye West at the VMA Awards night. I felt bad for her and Beyonce was gracious in her ways when she shared her moment with her. Watching the red carpet at the awards night was something else to behold. From elegant dresses and gowns to out of this world getup or outfit as you may call it. Of course there was a lot of sparkle coming not just from the women but also the men. Some of the artist have what you would call bling bling jewelry. If your into big and sparkly or just want to be noticed that this is the kind of jewelry just for you. I'm not really a tickler for jewelries but I won't mind getting some bling on.
