BAGHEERA AND KEEPER

Finally after some time I bought a new bag and wallet to replace my much bigger bag. The other bag I carried around before was 2 times bigger than this one. Things got lost in my other bag and MIL and hubby complains that its much too heavy, lol. Well its true, It was to heavy and bulky for me to be lugging around on a day to day basis. I got the bag and wallet the other day at Walmart. Yes I am a Walmart shopper, I love shopping there specially with the prizes they offer. The bag is only $16 and the wallet $7. I can't afford to buy a bag that is over $25, I just can't see myself right now buying something expensive when a cheaper one will do. Let me rephrase that, I can afford to buy a bag over $25 but I wont, not now. I'm not saying I will never buy a bag over $25 but its unlikely that I won't. See? I'm contradicting myself, whatever! All I'm saying is I would rather have that extra money in my wallet than having an expensive bag that I have nothing in my wallet. Hey, I have nothing against women who love and collect expensive bags. If you have the money and can afford, then by any means go ahead and please yourself. To each its own. So far I am happy with my purchase and If I could have gotten a cheaper bag I'd return this in a heartbeat. But this one kinda grew on me, I think I'll keep her for a long time, if she holds up to all my junk. And I shall name her Bagheera, like the panther character in jungle book. And the wallet shall be named Keeper.

Note:
If your curious to keep checking on days to follow what is inside my bag.

COULD THIS BE FOR SOMEONE YOU KNOW

In the past Halloween where kids, big kids and adults get to dress up in there favorite costume or character, have you noticed that the firemen or firefighter uniforms never go out of style? Kids at an early age specially boys want to grow up and be a fireman. I don't know if its about the red fire truck or the uniforms itself. Adults sometimes come to realize about what they really want to do in life. If my daughters would one day want to become a firefighter I would not stop them. Daddy would probably be so proud of his little girls and want for them, Bachelor of arts in fire service is a program that helps with gaining more knowledge in fire protection, fire prevention, fire education, management skills and many more. This degree can help you rise up and be the best in the field of fire services. If you know anybody, tell them to check the link above for more information so they can start off their career in the right track.

WEEK 7

Yesterday was week 7 double elimination for Dancing with the Stars. Have you seen how thos professional dancers looks? They are just slim, fit and hot hot hot. Looking at them makes me want to loose weight so much more. I have even thought about taking diet pills to help me out. I guess I will have to look at alli reviews to see how the pills work. But anyhow lets go back to the elimination. The bottom 3 consisted of Aaron, Michael and Mark.Michael Irvin and dance partner Anna first got eliminated. I think Michael improved so much and he looked like he had so much fun and was just out there to dance and enjoy. The two other contestant Mark and Aaron battled it out for one last dance hoping for the judges vote to save them. Mark danced the Cha-cha while Aaron did the jive. I knew right away that the judges were going to save Aaron. It was a pity though that Mark had to go. I am not a big Aaron fan but this is what I can say, he takes it way way way to seriously and it was ridiculous when he said to Mark before the dance off " don't take this personally?". Are you kidding me Aaron, it seems to me your the one that is taking this personal, lol. I cant wait for next week when all the remaining contestant have a chance to do 2 dance routine. I hope Mya and hunky Demetri get 10's....

OUR VERY OWN

Part of the American dream is having a house you can call your own. When I got here the house had already been bought, the transfer was done but the packing was not over yet. Both Ralph and I are lucky enough to have a house that in a few years time will really be ours. I have always wondered though what manufactured home are like inside. My husband said its no different from our house and they are built to last. Homes like that are built to meet the standards of Department of House and Urban Development. Therefore those houses are safe, durable and they do look very homey.

SHELVED PASSION

Reading used to be one of my passions. As a teenager I could get lost in the pages of any romantic paperback or novel I could get my hands on. It was my addiction, eating and sleeping was something I could do without as long as I did not have to put down the book I was reading. Even school was not safe for my addiction to reading, luckily I didn't flunk. That was before but now I seem to have lost that love for reading. We get Sunday Newspaper delivered to our home yet I never read it. I should actually read the paper since the its all about whats happening in the world. I guess its also because holding and touching the newspaper leaves ink and dirty smudges in your hands. My little one is two years old and loves to pretend reading the newspaper with her Mima. After all the pretend reading and role playing grandma she ends up with black smudges all over her face and specially the hands. I wonder how those people who work at a publishing company handle all that. They probably use Anilox roll to help get rid of the ink in an Eco-friendly way. Anyhow, I should start reading the newspaper and get our money's worth.

THIS YEARS BLACK FRIDAY

Do you know what I'm looking forward to this month now that Trick or Treat has come and gone? Thanksgiving is one and the second is the upcoming Black Friday where apparels, gadgets, electronics, computers and many more can be bough at great steal. Husband is always busy so last month I asked him already to take me on that day to the mall. Of course he said yes but wonders why I would go with the swarm of people. I want to experience what its like and grab a couple of good stuff at low prizes. Its only less than 3 weeks for me to start saving up but if all fails and I use up all the babysitting money I saved hubby is always there, lol. Are you guys going this year?

SHIVER ME TIMBERS!

Halloween is just among one of themost anticipated event that most children look forward to. Getting to wear costume, trick or treating, decorating the house for halloween and of course the consumption of candies with parents permission, lol. This year it was just the three of us, Ralph, Kaitlyn and ME. It was Kayal's turn to spend her Halloween with her mom this year. We missed her a lot but I know she is still having fun with her mom.

This year Kaitlyn was dressed up as a swash buckling, rebel little pirate. I never planned for her to get dressed up as a pirate. I was just checking out some outfit when I saw the one for her. The pirate costume just screamed Kaitlyn all over it and fit her personality to a T.

Meet Captain Kaitlyn the Pirate, the newest captain of the Black Pearl :

Ahoy there me matey!!!! You be looking for me? Harr, harr , harr!!!
Shiver me timbers, where be my scurvy dog of a crew? I best be headin out to search the sea of houses for me booty of teeth decaying sweets I be calling candies....
Ahoy there you scallawag, I be getting this ship sailin before other scurvy dog of a Pirate get a hold of me treasures.
Aha! Could this be fine fellow be a pirate in disguise? Harr, harr, harr, never ye mind he be part of me slave from now on.
Aye! I be hittin the mother load of all booty, behold my loot! Ye be keepin yer filthy hands of me candies or else I be force to let you walk the plank. Father or not nobody steals from Captain Kaitlyn arr, arr!

VACAY ANYONE?

Booooo!!! Halloween and Trick or Treat is finally over and done with. Now I feel like I can relax and not worry about another occasion for a while. But wait, Thanksgiving is just around the corner saying gobble, gobble. There goes my stress level again going up. Thankfully Thanksgiving dinner won't be at our house which is a blessing. Larry, Ralph's brother will be hosting this years dinner. I love my family but this year has been just craaazzzy. A lot of family affairs, get together, party or whatever else you may call it happened here at our house. Do you know that after each gatherings MIL and I always feel like taking a vacation. Where would we go? How about a Mexico vacation,Outer Banks vacations,Hawaii vacation or somewhere really exotic? That all seems far out but it could happen, lol.

SUPER HEROES ABOUND

My appointment with the Chiropractor was extra fun today. I dressed Kaitlyn in her old costume last year which was little piglet. Hubby and Kaitlyn went with me but hubby stayed in the car since it was only going to take about 30 min max. I just had to take Kaitlyn inside with me. For the past appointments I knew that all the staff were dressing up as super heroes on Oct. 30, 2009. Before we even got inside the office we already saw bat girl getting into her bat mobile. I should have brought my camera and took pictures of the staff as well as Kaitlyn. The staff wore different costumes ranging from Zorro, Super mom, Cat woman, Soldier, Super mom, Vampire, Robin and a Phillies Pitcher. Thank goodness my daughter cooperated and was very good inside the office and just played in the kids corner. She would come up to where I would be from time to time. The staff are all so nice and accommodating. After my session we got to taste some of the Halloween spread for all the patients. What a way to fill an empty stomach in the morning, lol. All in all it was as much fun for Kaitlyn as well as for me just to watch her little face lit up.

BELATED SHOUTOUT

Have you ever felt so old and ancient? I do, I get that feeling from time to time. I have a lot of relatives back home and watching my younger cousins grow up to be young men and ladies gives me great joy. The youngest of my first degree cousin just turned 16 last October 27, 2009 and I can't believe how much she has changed. I big belated shout out to my beloved cousin Margaret. The only thing that sucks about being a an adolescent is getting those nasty breakouts. My cousin has quite a few breakouts and is looking at acne treatment
that is both effective, affordable and safe. Those are one of the things that most teenagers and adults alike don't want to have. But its part of life and growing up.

DOUBLE ELIMINATION

For weeks now I have been watching and keeping track of who is being eliminated every week in Dancing with the Stars. Last weeks elimination was a total surprise for me. Yesterday I seem to have missed watching the dance off. I wonder how that happen when I was checking the T.V. show listing for the schedule. Anyways I will be able to watch it online so my panties is not in a bunch, lol. However I did hesitate about watching tonight's dreaded double elimination. First to be eliminated was Melissa Joan Hart, which I am totally not surprise but still she was better than the second one to be eliminated tonight. Louie Vito and his partner were the second couple to be eliminated in tonight's show. Honestly, he should have been eliminated last weeks instead of Natalie Coughlin. Michael Irvin squared off with Vito and got the judges vote to stay on one more week. Tonight I saw Michael Irvin dance like he had never before and he totally enjoyed his Samba routine. This is just week 6 and hopefully each stars will get better and better. Can't wait for week 7. Stay tuned next week to find out who got eliminated or click here for the results.

MARIO IN LEGO LAND?

Most kids know who Mario and Luigi are. They are the famous brothers who fight turtles, flying ducks, break bricks with there head and many more in Nintendo Games. Did you know that Super Mario was recently brought to life by a Pro Lego builder by the name Dirk HV? Check out the full story here. The Lego Mario stands 6 ft tall built from over 40,000 Lego's. With over that many Lego's no wonder it weighed 110 lbs. And the life size Mario Lego is up for sale at eBAY. Bidding is going on and the proceeds of the sale will go to Ronald McDonald Charity, auction ends on November 1, 2009.

SIT BACK AND RELAX

Yipee its the weekend again. I look forward to the weekends since there is not school hence, I get to sleep in a little bit in the morning. School days are not that bad since I'm home with only Kaitlyn and its great if she doesn't get into her little moods. The thing that sucks is that with Kaitlyn I never get to watch any adults shows. With kids around your stuck on the cartoon channels where they watch educational, musical and fun shows. Fun for them but extremely boring for parents. And If you do get a chance to watch the shows you want you worry about if its to violent for them, the foul language and many more. Just last night I was watching Comedy Central with the kids and I just had to turn it off with all the racy jokes and swearing. For parents, stay at home moms like me its easier if we get to watch our shows anytime we want and when we want it. There is such a thing and watching our favorite shows on demand. How? Its easy just learn more at charter.net/ondemand. Its where we get to see the shows we usually miss in the daytime when our little munchkins are around. With Charter OnDemand we get to see all the shows we missed and more. With over 6,000 movies and shows that should leave someone a happy camper specially when you don't have to wait on a certain day to watch it. If your a Facebook fanatic like me then you can get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page. There are things that we should have and OnDemand shows are one of them, at least for me...

OLYMPIC MERMAID VOTED OUT

Have you guys watched Dancing with the Stars? I have and I was in so much shock when Natalie Coughlin was in the bottom two. When she was finally eliminated I was just floored. She had a lot of potential and I didn't think she would get eliminated this early on in the show. Natalie is an Olympic gold medalist in swimming and yes, she is very competitive and motivated. It must have come as a shock for her to have lost the race. Still she danced a good dance and should have deserved to compete further. This week I was so happy that Michael Irvin did a good job and in my opinion he does deserve to stay on. My top 3 picks are Mya, Mark and Donny. As for Aaron Carter he is a good dancer but he tries to hard that he ends up dancing more on the feminine side. This is just my opinion, to all Aaron fans don't hate! I'm just telling it as it is..... My favorite dancer so far is Demetri, he is just so fine and gorgeous. Sorry honey but he has the looks, the body, butt and the moves. Don't worry honey you will always be my snug bug, lol. Can't wait to see how the rest perform next week..

FROST

This morning we were greeted by the first frost of the season. The contrasting white sheen against the green color of the grass shows off the frost on the ground. Winter has really come early this year and I a lot of people have been saying that we are looking at a cold season. If your a regular reader of this blog you already know that I hate winter. Its just since I was born in a tropical country I feel like my body just rebel and wont accept the cold weather. It makes me miserable, my bones hurt, my skin dry. I am still lucky that even though I hate winter at least I don't have to wake up in the morning to go to work or drive through the snow for work. Getting ready to go out the door just takes longer now, with putting the gloves on, hat , scarf and jacket. The kids are all so bundled up and look like little hot dogs in a bun, lol. At least now I can really start looking forward to Summer which is a long time.
