LOOKING OUT

Question for wives, do you get along with your in-laws? I know so many women that don't get along with the dreaded In-laws. I am one of the fortunate ones that get along great with my In-laws. It works great because my MIL lives with us. Our house is built with an In-law suite and its perfect for her. She has been nothing but a blessing for us as a family. She watches the kids for me, she drives me around and she treats me like I'm her daughter. If it wasn't for her RA(rheumatoid arthritis)she would still be very very active. I do worry about her sometimes even though we live in the same house. When we do go out somewhere and she stays home I worry that something may happen to her specially since she has been taken to the hospital last year after Thanksgiving. That incident left her scared, she even looked into getting emergency alert system in cases that we may not be there to assist her. I hope to God that nothing like that will happen to her. Now, I make it a point to check on her if she doesn't come out of her room and on times that she is not feeling well at all. She looks out for me and I do the same. Isn't that what a family is all about, looking after each other?

ITS NOT OVER

Going to the Chiropractor was really a smart move on my part. I had been having lower back pain on my right side for a long time and it seemed to be getting worse and worse. Stabbing and lower leg pain on my right side was what got me to say I need a Chiropractor. Or course I had to see our primary physician first and she actually recommended that I see one. I was hesitant at first as I didn't know what to expect but there was nothing to worry about. I had been going to my Chiropractor for 12 session and yesterday was my last, so I thought. I was re-examined and I did improve a whole lot. I was advice though to come for another 6 session to really work out the kinks in my body. Thank God we have an excellent insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield or else I would never have been able to afford it. For those living in North Carolina they should really check out Blue Cross Blue Shield NC. It really an excellent insurance if I say so myself. So far, we have been more than satisfied with the coverage and service.

ANNOYING CALLERS

Have you been getting calls from telemarketers? I have been getting about 5 calls already and its has become very annoying. Its from PLDT back home selling me a promo about unlimited calls to the Philippines for only $55 a month. Are you kidding me? I have told them from the start that I was not interested so as not to waste there time and effort. I talk to my mom frequently online via Yahoo Messenger on voice chat as well as on Skype. When I do call them I use my cellphone but only on special occasion and I have a plan on my phone. It just irritates me that someone gave my number out. When they asked me if I could refer someone I never give out phone number. Its just downright rude, disrespectful to give out friends number to telemarketers. The telemarketers are just doing their job but they have to understand that when someone tells you they are not interested stop calling. Who ever you are that gave out my number, please don't do it again. Ask your friends first.

HE FINALLY QUIT

Wazzup

For the past weeks my hubby has done something great and monumental. He has quit smoking and we are just counting the days. In a couple of days it will be a month since his last puff of cigarette. It has not been easy on him and me. He finally woke up one day and just said he really wants to quit smoking. He saw our family doctor and he got a prescription that helped curve the need to smoke. I am just so proud of my hubby but with him quitting he has to find another vice. Well not entirely a vice just something to take his mind away from smoking. He has bought a new car, a 2004 Jaguar. Before buying the car he consulted me and asked for my opinion. Since he is going to be paying for it with his cigarette money I told him to go for it. He went around and online and looked into a lot of stuff, insurance marketing was one of the many things he looked into. Considering that its going to be our third car he had to find the best insurance coverage we could get at an affordable rate. My husband is an amazing man, he can make anything happen if he puts his mind and effort into it. I'm specially proud of him for taking the initiative to a healthy lifestyle and stop smoking. Should he slip and fail, I will always be here, we will be here to support him.

PATHETIC EXCUSES

Winter is the season where most of us are cooped inside the house, we get to eat our most loved comfort food. I am no exception to that, my comfort food includes anything that is sinfully gooey, chocolate, sweet and fat inducing.. Every Winter I gain weight and my excuse would be I need all the energy from the chocolate bars and junk that I eat. I am also hibernating and need a lot of fats!Whoa hibernating? I'm not an animal, I should not be doing that but that is one of my many pathetic excuse. I want to try this season to cut off my excuses dead on its track and start loosing some much needed weight. A friend of mine has been religiously on her diet and she is slowly but steadily reaching her goal weight. Dieting doesn't seem to be working for me anymore, I probably need something like a fat burner to help get rid of my stored fats from last Winter season. Gosh, I really hope I get the will power and determination that she has. I know I am getting heavy, I see that every time I look in the mirror and put on my jeans. But why can't I convince myself to be strong?

BAGHEERA AND KEEPER

Finally after some time I bought a new bag and wallet to replace my much bigger bag. The other bag I carried around before was 2 times bigger than this one. Things got lost in my other bag and MIL and hubby complains that its much too heavy, lol. Well its true, It was to heavy and bulky for me to be lugging around on a day to day basis. I got the bag and wallet the other day at Walmart. Yes I am a Walmart shopper, I love shopping there specially with the prizes they offer. The bag is only $16 and the wallet $7. I can't afford to buy a bag that is over $25, I just can't see myself right now buying something expensive when a cheaper one will do. Let me rephrase that, I can afford to buy a bag over $25 but I wont, not now. I'm not saying I will never buy a bag over $25 but its unlikely that I won't. See? I'm contradicting myself, whatever! All I'm saying is I would rather have that extra money in my wallet than having an expensive bag that I have nothing in my wallet. Hey, I have nothing against women who love and collect expensive bags. If you have the money and can afford, then by any means go ahead and please yourself. To each its own. So far I am happy with my purchase and If I could have gotten a cheaper bag I'd return this in a heartbeat. But this one kinda grew on me, I think I'll keep her for a long time, if she holds up to all my junk. And I shall name her Bagheera, like the panther character in jungle book. And the wallet shall be named Keeper.

Note:
If your curious to keep checking on days to follow what is inside my bag.

COULD THIS BE FOR SOMEONE YOU KNOW

In the past Halloween where kids, big kids and adults get to dress up in there favorite costume or character, have you noticed that the firemen or firefighter uniforms never go out of style? Kids at an early age specially boys want to grow up and be a fireman. I don't know if its about the red fire truck or the uniforms itself. Adults sometimes come to realize about what they really want to do in life. If my daughters would one day want to become a firefighter I would not stop them. Daddy would probably be so proud of his little girls and want for them, Bachelor of arts in fire service is a program that helps with gaining more knowledge in fire protection, fire prevention, fire education, management skills and many more. This degree can help you rise up and be the best in the field of fire services. If you know anybody, tell them to check the link above for more information so they can start off their career in the right track.

WEEK 7

Yesterday was week 7 double elimination for Dancing with the Stars. Have you seen how thos professional dancers looks? They are just slim, fit and hot hot hot. Looking at them makes me want to loose weight so much more. I have even thought about taking diet pills to help me out. I guess I will have to look at alli reviews to see how the pills work. But anyhow lets go back to the elimination. The bottom 3 consisted of Aaron, Michael and Mark.Michael Irvin and dance partner Anna first got eliminated. I think Michael improved so much and he looked like he had so much fun and was just out there to dance and enjoy. The two other contestant Mark and Aaron battled it out for one last dance hoping for the judges vote to save them. Mark danced the Cha-cha while Aaron did the jive. I knew right away that the judges were going to save Aaron. It was a pity though that Mark had to go. I am not a big Aaron fan but this is what I can say, he takes it way way way to seriously and it was ridiculous when he said to Mark before the dance off " don't take this personally?". Are you kidding me Aaron, it seems to me your the one that is taking this personal, lol. I cant wait for next week when all the remaining contestant have a chance to do 2 dance routine. I hope Mya and hunky Demetri get 10's....

OUR VERY OWN

Part of the American dream is having a house you can call your own. When I got here the house had already been bought, the transfer was done but the packing was not over yet. Both Ralph and I are lucky enough to have a house that in a few years time will really be ours. I have always wondered though what manufactured home are like inside. My husband said its no different from our house and they are built to last. Homes like that are built to meet the standards of Department of House and Urban Development. Therefore those houses are safe, durable and they do look very homey.

SHELVED PASSION

Reading used to be one of my passions. As a teenager I could get lost in the pages of any romantic paperback or novel I could get my hands on. It was my addiction, eating and sleeping was something I could do without as long as I did not have to put down the book I was reading. Even school was not safe for my addiction to reading, luckily I didn't flunk. That was before but now I seem to have lost that love for reading. We get Sunday Newspaper delivered to our home yet I never read it. I should actually read the paper since the its all about whats happening in the world. I guess its also because holding and touching the newspaper leaves ink and dirty smudges in your hands. My little one is two years old and loves to pretend reading the newspaper with her Mima. After all the pretend reading and role playing grandma she ends up with black smudges all over her face and specially the hands. I wonder how those people who work at a publishing company handle all that. They probably use Anilox roll to help get rid of the ink in an Eco-friendly way. Anyhow, I should start reading the newspaper and get our money's worth.

THIS YEARS BLACK FRIDAY

Do you know what I'm looking forward to this month now that Trick or Treat has come and gone? Thanksgiving is one and the second is the upcoming Black Friday where apparels, gadgets, electronics, computers and many more can be bough at great steal. Husband is always busy so last month I asked him already to take me on that day to the mall. Of course he said yes but wonders why I would go with the swarm of people. I want to experience what its like and grab a couple of good stuff at low prizes. Its only less than 3 weeks for me to start saving up but if all fails and I use up all the babysitting money I saved hubby is always there, lol. Are you guys going this year?

SHIVER ME TIMBERS!

Halloween is just among one of themost anticipated event that most children look forward to. Getting to wear costume, trick or treating, decorating the house for halloween and of course the consumption of candies with parents permission, lol. This year it was just the three of us, Ralph, Kaitlyn and ME. It was Kayal's turn to spend her Halloween with her mom this year. We missed her a lot but I know she is still having fun with her mom.

This year Kaitlyn was dressed up as a swash buckling, rebel little pirate. I never planned for her to get dressed up as a pirate. I was just checking out some outfit when I saw the one for her. The pirate costume just screamed Kaitlyn all over it and fit her personality to a T.

Meet Captain Kaitlyn the Pirate, the newest captain of the Black Pearl :

Ahoy there me matey!!!! You be looking for me? Harr, harr , harr!!!
Shiver me timbers, where be my scurvy dog of a crew? I best be headin out to search the sea of houses for me booty of teeth decaying sweets I be calling candies....

VACAY ANYONE?

Booooo!!! Halloween and Trick or Treat is finally over and done with. Now I feel like I can relax and not worry about another occasion for a while. But wait, Thanksgiving is just around the corner saying gobble, gobble. There goes my stress level again going up. Thankfully Thanksgiving dinner won't be at our house which is a blessing. Larry, Ralph's brother will be hosting this years dinner. I love my family but this year has been just craaazzzy. A lot of family affairs, get together, party or whatever else you may call it happened here at our house. Do you know that after each gatherings MIL and I always feel like taking a vacation. Where would we go? How about a Mexico vacation,Outer Banks vacations,Hawaii vacation or somewhere really exotic? That all seems far out but it could happen, lol.
