FIRST SNOW OF THE SEASON

Saturday we got our first ever snow for this Winter season. It rained the whole day and by afternoon it started to snow. It was still a mix of snow and rain so the snow didn't really get a chance to stick to the ground. Kaitlyn was so excited to see the snow and wanted so bad to get out. Even if it was freezing cold I had to oblige when she gave me one of her goofy smile and said " I'm a go out mama, peeeessss?". She was in her nightgown so I just put her jacket on and threw her blanket over her legs and we went outside. We just stood by the porch and watched the snow while it was falling. After a long nap we woke up to our front yard and back covered in snow, it was still falling. But I knew that It was going to stop soon. I'm excited for my kids but I am so miserable for me. Luckily I have a very long warm coat to keep me warm when I walk and pick up Kayla at the bus stop. Its getting colder and colder and according to the farmers almanac this is going to be the coldest winter yet in 10 years for my place.

DenTek Product Review

This is a product review for DenTek.

Ever since I was young I loved to floss. I hated getting food get caught in between my teeth. Back then I had no idea that a floss existed to I used thread before which was very very rough on my gum and made it bleed. Today, I have floss in every bathroom in our house and I even carry one in my bag. What I really liked about DenTek complete clean floss is that it doesn't get fuzzy coz it does not get snagged on the teeth. It reaches in between the teeth and its gentle on my gums. I have been trying this product ever since Thanksgiving and not once have my gums bleed. I even used the floss on my two year old daughter since I felt it would be gentler on her baby gums and teeth. The packages is great, its compact and see through. Like I expressed in my video I just hope they put more pepper mint or mint flavor in the floss itself. I have replaced the regular brand of floss that I carry in my bag and as soon I finish off all my old floss I'm getting this brand from now on.

WILL I EVER GET AN INVITE?

We all know that part of starting a family is the thought of how to share and tell your loved ones about the exciting news that you are having a baby. When we found out we were expecting we told everybody right away. There is just something about sharing the news that your having a baby. For expectant moms we start to plan and imagine what the baby's sex is going to be and what he/she will look like. Last year I had so many friends that got pregnant and had there babies this year. All of those first time and not so first time moms still had a blast when it was time for the baby shower. Of course a baby shower should also be special and a lot of thought should be put into the baby shower invitations that will be sent out to family and friends. I have never been to a baby shower before and would love to get an invite (hint, hint). I would also love to surprise someone with a baby shower party. I never had that for myself since I really didn't have any close friends nearby but still instead of giving me presents for my 29th birthday some of my family and friends gave me baby stuff instead.

BATTLEOF THE BULGE

I guess almost everybody has a weight issue one way or the other. On my part I actually thought I would never have a problem about gaining weight. You see, before the age of 23 I was skinny as a beanpole. I ate like a horse but for some reason I just didn't put on weight. Going on a vacation at my grandmothers when I was 23 yrs old kind of set it all off. After that age it went uphill, lol. It wasn't as bed before I got married and had a baby but now, Its a different story altogether. Just yesterday I was so disgusted with how much weight I have gained over the past years that I have been here in the U.S. It's not far from my mind looking for a weight loss diet pill that really works and is safe. I am really going to look around for something to help me up or give me a boost to start loosing weight.

TURKEY AFTERMATH

My apologies for not greeting everybody a Happy Thanksgiving.. As the saying goes " better late than never", so here are some pictures of our Thanksgiving.

This year's Thanksgiving was hosted by my BIL Larry. We left bright and early at the house and headed to New Jersey. My BIL did almost all of the cooking and I was really impress. The turkey came out so tender and juicy, Larry even made some pork pot roast for me in case I didn't like the turkey. He even made sure he had rice for me to cook when we get there. It was just Larry and his two boys since his only daughter Kristen had to work on Thanksgiving day. Thankfully my kids behaved and it went without a hitch! I didn't get to take much picture though since we were all hungry and I was busy getting the kids on the table and preparing their food. All in all it was a great Thanksgiving and it filled us up right to the neck...

Our girls with Uncle Larry's dog.Kaitlyn with Cosmo and Kayla with Taylor

As you can see everybody is already relaxed because they were already full to the brim.

A shot at MIL who looks on proudly at her son's.

Time to sit down and relax

AFTER EVERY FAMILY GATHERING

For all those people who hosted this year's Thanksgiving dinner at there house deserves a pat on the back. Hosting a Holiday event is not an easy thing to do well unless your Martha Stuart. For my MIL and I, we always give out a big sigh of relief after every party, or gathering here at our house. We always say to each other " we deserve a long vacation" and with all the hard work and preparation we put into hosting a party, dinner or family gathering we absolutely deserve it. We would just end up sleeping in the next day to recover, lol. In maybe a couple or year or more, my family and I will be planning for the big vacation that we have talked about for so long. With a friend that just had a great orlando vacations this past summer its a no brainer for us to go. Hopefully the kids will be a little bit more behaves and matured by the time we go.

KANGAROO or RAMBOROO

Kangaroo's are abound in Australia. I remember seeing a Kangaroo in person when I was about 4 years old. My mom and Dad took us to the circus where I got to see an Kangaroo in a boxing ring with gloves on. To me a Kangaroo is fluffy, soft, cuddly and hops around. But to one unfortunate Australian man the Kangaroo became Ramboroo. Chris Rickard a 49 year old man apparently startled a sleeping Kangaroo while walking his dog. As with the natural instinct of a dog it chased the Kangaroo to a pond. That was where the Kangaroo became Ramboroo and kicked the dog into the water, almost drowning the little guy. The owner tried to rescue his dog but Ramboroo turn and attacked him. Don't worry both dog and master are fine as well as Ramboroo. So when you see a Kangaroo stay out of its way or else.... BILLS AND STRESS

It's almost that time of the month where Ralph has to sort out all our bills. So much bills to pay with so little money. Bills, bills and more bills keep coming in and poor hubby has to work to pay it off. Luckily I'm not a big spender and I always watch what I buy. MIL on the other hand is also struggling to make ends meet specially that she is now retired. One good news though is she has stopped smoking like hubby. Now, she is trying to get on the health wagon and try to control herself from going back to smoking. She is also on the computer constantly either checking for insurance quote as she is thinking about getting another life insurance, playing online games or just reading the news. I just hope that both Ralph and his mom will not go back to the old ways of smoking. It doesn't help that Ralph gets so stressed out with bills, money and work. All in all my husband is doing great as a provider for our family.

HANGING OUT

Today is going to be spent hanging out with my 2 year old daughter. I'll probably be stuck in Barney land for the most part but I hope I can squeeze in some shows that I like. I miss watching My wife and kids, I think its just so funny. One of my favorite episode what when Michael had his colon checked. It just cracks me up when the doctor start singing while holding this instrument that has to go up Michael's behind, lol. That show reminds me that people should do a colon cleanse. A lot of people have died from colon cancer and I think it pays to be aware of how you can prevent this kind of disease. In the future I am definitely going to encourage my husband that we go have our colon checked. As they say health is wealth...

OUR FIRST YEAR

My first time to join in this meme, so I'm going to make this good,lol.....

Rodliz’s Nest

The first year of being married, hhhhmmmmmm?? I admit it was not easy but it wasn't hard. I had to get use to a lot of things from the country, environment, food, people, language, everything. You could say I was in marital shock. We got married on a snowy, cold and freezing Valentines Day. I not only married my husband but also his little girl. We got married and a few days after found out we were expecting the newest addition. It was another thing being married and pregnant. Our marriage is not perfect but who has a perfect marriage? We have our own faults but one thing I can say is we have never had a full blown fight. Yes we do have misunderstanding but things always get resolved by the end of the day. The one thing I love about my husband is he does not hold grudges, lol. I sometimes get so mad at him even more because he won't hold a grudge and he forgives and forgets. He adores our little girls and dotes on them. A good and loving father and I hope he would just drive me more often to places I want to go and just go shopping with me and keep quiet. I guess thats wishful thinking on my part wanting my man to be patient while shopping,lol.....

In a few more months we will be approaching our 3rd year of blissful marriage. Hopefully and with God's grace we will be together forever..

WHO IS IN AND WHO GOT ELIMINATED * DANCING WITH THE STARS *

Among the many highlights of my week is watching my favorite shows. One of them is Dancing with the Stars. I have watched it since the beginning and I could tell by then that the show got me hook, line and sinker. Anyho, yesterday was an amazing show. Each remaining couple had to do 3 dances and by far Mya and Dmitry stood out. After they did the dance it was safe to say they were a shoo-in for the final round and they deserve to be there.

Tonight, watching the semi-final elimination was nerve wracking. As soon and Mya and Dmitry was safe I let out a big sigh of relief ( mura sad ko ug apil sa). One down and 2 more to go. The second to be in the finals were Donny and Kym. The last one was still a surprise for me. Who got eliminated ?Joanna and Derek, what the heck?!@#$. They deserve to be in the Finals, she did a great performance yesterday night. I guess I under estimated the fans of Kelly Osbourne. Let me just say that its good to see Kelly get her life back together but she should have not been in the final round. But in fairness to Kelly her performance was great but not as brilliant as Joanna's. It was actually a toss up between Donny and Kelly for me.

Next Monday, the kiddos are going to be tucked in and sleeping before 8 p.m. I can't wait to see another incredible performance from Mya and Dmitry. By now you can tell that I am rooting for them.... What can I say, Mya is a great performer and Dmitry that gorgeous hunk of a burning love is an excellent teacher. And like Glenn Good man said to Mya " tooty fruity what a booty"

PLANS FOR BLACK FRIDAY

Another Holiday is fast coming up, Thanksgiving. I have come to look forward to this every year since I got here. Its usually another excuse for all the clan to come together, celebrate with laughter and pig out on the many foods laid out. This year I can breathe easy since we will not be hosting it, Its Larry's turn this year. The other thing that I look forward to is the much anticipated Black Friday. The one time in a year where you get rock bottom prices and great buys. Hopefully I can be witness to this big event. Hubby has told me he will drop me off the mall but on a condition I go in the day not early in the morning, besides I would not last 10 minutes out in the cold waiting for the stores to open. I'm hoping to get great deals on apparels, lotions and some other stuff. Workers in the mall better make sure that there barcode scanner is working properly. I have roughly 1 more week to earn some money for my planned black friday shopping, cross my fingers and toes, lol.

LOOKING OUT

Question for wives, do you get along with your in-laws? I know so many women that don't get along with the dreaded In-laws. I am one of the fortunate ones that get along great with my In-laws. It works great because my MIL lives with us. Our house is built with an In-law suite and its perfect for her. She has been nothing but a blessing for us as a family. She watches the kids for me, she drives me around and she treats me like I'm her daughter. If it wasn't for her RA(rheumatoid arthritis)she would still be very very active. I do worry about her sometimes even though we live in the same house. When we do go out somewhere and she stays home I worry that something may happen to her specially since she has been taken to the hospital last year after Thanksgiving. That incident left her scared, she even looked into getting emergency alert system in cases that we may not be there to assist her. I hope to God that nothing like that will happen to her. Now, I make it a point to check on her if she doesn't come out of her room and on times that she is not feeling well at all. She looks out for me and I do the same. Isn't that what a family is all about, looking after each other?

ITS NOT OVER

Going to the Chiropractor was really a smart move on my part. I had been having lower back pain on my right side for a long time and it seemed to be getting worse and worse. Stabbing and lower leg pain on my right side was what got me to say I need a Chiropractor. Or course I had to see our primary physician first and she actually recommended that I see one. I was hesitant at first as I didn't know what to expect but there was nothing to worry about. I had been going to my Chiropractor for 12 session and yesterday was my last, so I thought. I was re-examined and I did improve a whole lot. I was advice though to come for another 6 session to really work out the kinks in my body. Thank God we have an excellent insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield or else I would never have been able to afford it. For those living in North Carolina they should really check out Blue Cross Blue Shield NC. It really an excellent insurance if I say so myself. So far, we have been more than satisfied with the coverage and service.
