WEAR YOUR OWN CREATION

Its a very wet, gloomy day outside today. The rain is probably washing away all those winter remnants left on the ground and showering the seedling, sprouts and plants with love to help them grow. There are so many reason why I love spring. One, no more heavy winter outfits that takes ages and ages for my kids to get ready. Two, no more getting stuck inside the house for many weeks and with only kids as my company. That is enough to drive you up the wall right there. But what I really love about spring is the way everything is around. And of course we can start wearing shirts and shorts again. I cant wait to start wearing just a shirt around the house and outside the house specially when its time to pick up Kayla at the bus stop. Even Kayla has been asking when she will be able to wear short sleeved shirts to school and even dresses. Ralph has started wearing shirts now and he always wears his shirt that says "best daddy hands down" with a print of two hands, one of him and Kayla. That shirt is getting so old and tattered on the edges that I'm so tempted to throw it in the garbage. Before I can do that I'd better make sure I make him a replacement t-shirts that is one of a kind. And of course its going to be a picture of me and another picture of both of the girls. BURN BABY BURN

The other week Ralph bought himself a new toy, his smoker. He was so excited about it and was talking about what he was going to cook non-stop. I helped him assemble everything, It makes me happy that he has his own thing. He has always been a giver its time he gets what he wants. He is still experimenting and learning how to operate and cook with his smoker. It took more than half a day to cook a whole chicken, beef ribs, salmon,tuna,and pork ribs. It was a lot and I must admit it wasn't that good! I know he felt so bad that we didn't like what he made but we made the most out of it. The tuna and chicken turned out good though despite how it looked,lol.

It may look disgusting and terribly burned on the outside but it was so juicy and tender on the inside. He already ordered his recipe books for the smokers online and I bet next time its going to be yummy..

MY GIRLS

My little munchkins, taken last week when the weather was nice albeit a little bit chilly. Since spring came along I have been bugging Ralph to take out Kayla's barbie jeep so she and baby sister could cruise around our area and just have fun. It was so cute to see both girls in the jeep with big sister driving and Kaitlyn the baby in the passenger seat. Kayla loves her sister so much and Kaitlyn adores her big sister and follows her around. My girls are growing up and it breaks my heart. Time flies so fast. One minute they were so young and so dependent on you the next they are doing things on there own. One day my girls will stop wanting me but I know they will never stop needing me.

Whew, I just got done cleaning one of the 2 bathrooms upstairs. This is the bathroom that both kids use and also for the guest. As I was cleaning I happen to look outside the bathroom window and saw the buds in the trees. They are all getting ready to bloom. In a matter of days the trees will be full of blooms then the leaves will start to come in and the birds nestle under its swaying leaves. BEEF CALDERETA

Yesterday I made another Filipino dish that my husband absolutely love, BEEF CALDERETA. Last weeks it was "nilat-ang baka" and both him and my MIL loved as well. I bought the beef ribs at Bj's since it was cheaper. Ralph however is complaining that he doesn't like the bones in the meat and that there is not enough meat. Last night when he came home from work he had some of my caldereta. This morning I decided to have it for lunch but was dismayed, he ate almost all the meat! Leaving just the sauce, potatoes, green peas, carrots and the peppers. At least he loved it.

GOT A QUESTION, THEY GOT THE ANSWER

This week is my vacation, no waking up in the morning to get Kayla ready for school since its spring break. I'm going to take advantage of this week and do my spring cleaning. Next week its back to our old routine and that also means doing homework with Kayla. Yes kindergarten also get homework every Monday and has to be handed in by Friday. Its a relief though that Kayla is still young and it will be a couple more years where I will be scratching my head figuring out how to help her with homework. Its been a slow weekend for us here. Kayla got dropped off to her mom since she has her for the weekend and also spring break. ENTRECARD TROUBLE

Was it just me or was Entrecard downloading slow last night and still is today. Last night I could not even drop on some people as there Ec widgets would not show up. I would have to refresh several times. I was afraid that my computer was getting a virus but when I transferred to my Laptop it was still the same. Hhhhhmmmmm???? What about you guy? I hope this will get fixed soon as I usually do my drops at night when the kids are asleep and I don't have much time to drop on 3 of my blogs if Entrecard is not loading as fast. CCRAZY OVER HER HAIR

My other daughter is 5 and she has long beautiful straight hair. She could sit for hours and hours and not complain about you doing her hair. Of course she whines and cries if you hit tangles but other than that she is fine as a peach. We use so much conditioner on her hair that its not even funny. For the past couple of days i have been driving myself crazy over her hairstyle. Its just I have been to The Princess and the story about her hair she has such beautiful hair and hairstyles. I have tried doing some of the hairstyle but to no avail. I don't have much time in the morning to do the more intricate hairstyle. I don't know what got into me this morning but I decided to put Kayla's hair up and this is the before and after. Now I asked myself what the heck am I doing her hair like that when she is just 5 years old? The answer: I just want her to look more beautiful and for people to notice how beautiful her hair is. When she comes home today I'll be very shock it her hair is still the same, lol.....
